A fresh, elegant salad featuring crisp greens, ripe pear, toasted walnuts, and creamy blue cheese, all brought together with a bright Sicilian Lemon Balsamic vinaigrette.


Ingredients

  • 5 oz prewashed salad greens
  • 1 ripe pear, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnut pieces
  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled

Vinaigrette

  • 6 tbsps Della Terra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp + 2 tsp Della Terra Sicilian Lemon Balsamic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Pepper, to taste

Optional

  • 1/2 tsp (or less, to taste) Della Terra Toasted Sesame Oil

Directions

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil(s) and Dijon mustard until combined.

Slowly add Della Terra Sicilian Lemon Balsamic while whisking until emulsified.

Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine salad greens, toasted walnuts, and sliced pear.

Just before serving, toss with vinaigrette until lightly coated.

Top with crumbled blue cheese and serve immediately.
