- 1 medium onion, sliced thinly
- 1 medium apple, sliced
- 1 medium head of red cabbage, shredded (about 8 cups)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Della Terra Red Apple Balsamic
- 2 tbsp. Della Terra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Coat a large dutch oven with extra virgin olive oil. Cook and stir onion and apple over medium heat until onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Stir in all remaining ingredients and cook, covered until cabbage is tender, about 1 hour. Stir occasionally.
Serve warm or cold.
