Our story
Jake and I love food. That's no surprise to anyone who knows us. Della Terra for us was a no brainer. As a first generation Canadian-born Italian, good quality olive oil was – and is – an integral part of our lives. It is not only a staple in our kitchen but part of our DNA. Foraging, preserving and homesteading connects us to our heritage and has instilled a deep appreciation for knowing not only where our food comes from but more importantly, what is in it.
Flavour for many is a constant evolution. We all have different seasons for different flavours and moods. I always joke that Jake is a real-life Remy (from Ratatouille) who is obsessed with discovering new flavour combinations and recipes. So, as you can imagine - our kitchen is one big science experiment - now more than ever.
As we continue to grow we are forever grateful to all of our customers, friends, family and community of small Canadian businesses who support us - we love OLIVE of you... (sorry but I had to). As we continue to grow we look forward to sharing the love by supporting fellow Canadian businesses in our little shop as we always have.
