A simple yet elegant dessert featuring tender roasted Bosc pears finished with a sweet honey-balsamic glaze. Topped with goat cheese, candied walnuts, and black pepper for a beautiful balance of sweet and savoury.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsps Della Terra Butter Olive Oil
- 5 firm-ripe Bosc pears, halved lengthwise, cored but stems left on
- 3 tbsps Della Terra Honey Ginger Balsamic
- 2/3 cup honey
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Crumbled goat cheese, to garnish
- Candied walnuts, to garnish
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Pour Della Terra Butter Olive Oil into a large baking pan and tilt to coat evenly.
Arrange pear halves in a single layer, cut side down.
Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a knife.
In a small bowl, combine Della Terra Honey Ginger Balsamic and honey.
Spoon the mixture over the pears and return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
Remove from oven and arrange pears on serving plates.
Spoon pan juices over top.
Finish with freshly ground black pepper, crumbled goat cheese, and candied walnuts.
