Vanilla Ice Cream with Espresso Balsamic & Italian Lemon Olive Oil

4 scoops of high-quality vanilla ice cream (or gelato)

2 tablespoons Della Terra Espresso Dark Balsamic

2 tablespoons Della Terra Italian Lemon Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Flaky sea salt, to finish (optional)

Crushed amaretti cookies or biscotti, for texture (optional)

Cocktail Cherry or dark chocolate shavings, for garnish (optional)

Scoop the vanilla ice cream into individual serving bowls or glasses. Let it sit for 3–5 minutes to soften slightly — this enhances flavour and creates a creamier texture.

Drizzle ½ tablespoon of espresso balsamic over each scoop. For a layered effect, add half the balsamic, then another scoop of ice cream, then more balsamic.

Drizzle ½ tablespoon of Italian lemon olive oil over each serving. Let it pool slightly — the richness balances the tart balsamic beautifully.

Sprinkle with a pinch of flaky sea salt if desired. Garnish with crushed amaretti cookies or biscotti for crunch, and add lemon zest or chocolate shavings for extra visual appeal and flavour contrast.
