Hummus: A simple pleasure that takes moments to prepare. High-quality ingredients are the key to taking hummus from everyday to extraordinary, and swapping the olive oils and balsamics allow for dozens of variations.

Put all ingredients in the food processor. Process until smooth. Add the ingredients from a Twist below. Process until combined. For best results, let flavors meld overnight. Adjust seasoning to taste right before serving.

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas
  • 3 tbsps freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsps roasted tahini paste
  • 2 tbsps water
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • Fine sea or Himalayan salt
