The secret to making any cocktail is using premium ingredients and a great cocktail’s not-so-secret ingredient? Balsamic.
By now most of us are familiar that Balsamics are not for just salad dressings. For a while now it has been revered for its culinary versatility by adding depth and flavour to everything from glazes, marinades, baked goods and - yes - drinks.
Although that might surprise most people, many bartenders know the power of balsamic when it comes to layering and adding depth to their drinks. Fruity and acidic, this cooked down grape juice aged in oak barrels adds a sharp sweetness that unsurprisingly has unlimited potential when it comes to creating and enhancing cocktails. A little goes a long way so when creating your own cocktails or mocktails exercise caution, these intense flavours pack a punch!
