Ingredients
Iced Tea Base
- 3 green tea bags
- 3 quarts hot water
- 1 quart ice cubes
- Fresh pineapple and strawberries, for garnish
Strawberry Pineapple Shrub
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, trimmed and chopped
- 1 cup pineapple, trimmed and chopped
- 1 tbsp Della Terra Strawberry Dark Balsamic
- 1 tbsp Della Terra Island Breeze White Balsamic
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, strawberries, pineapple, Strawberry Dark Balsamic, and Island Breeze White Balsamic.
- Bring to a low simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool completely.
- Steep green tea bags in hot water, then allow to cool to room temperature.
- Combine cooled tea with ice.
- Strain shrub into the tea (or add fruit pieces directly for a more rustic finish) and stir well.
- Fill glasses with ice, pour in iced tea, and garnish with fresh strawberries and pineapple.
