A refreshing, fruit-forward iced tea infused with a homemade strawberry pineapple shrub, layered with green tea and a tangy balsamic twist. Light, juicy, and deeply refreshing, it’s a summer drink made for slow afternoons and easy entertaining.

Ingredients

Iced Tea Base

  • 3 green tea bags
  • 3 quarts hot water
  • 1 quart ice cubes
  • Fresh pineapple and strawberries, for garnish

Strawberry Pineapple Shrub


Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, strawberries, pineapple, Strawberry Dark Balsamic, and Island Breeze White Balsamic.
  2. Bring to a low simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar fully dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool completely.
  4. Steep green tea bags in hot water, then allow to cool to room temperature.
  5. Combine cooled tea with ice.
  6. Strain shrub into the tea (or add fruit pieces directly for a more rustic finish) and stir well.
  7. Fill glasses with ice, pour in iced tea, and garnish with fresh strawberries and pineapple.
